Sandlewood essential oil comes from mature sandalwood trees that are over 50 years old. The essential oil is extracted through steam distillation of the wood from the trees. The sandalwood tree grows mostly India and Australia. The essential oil can sooth skin and has a mild astringent property. It has a sweet-woody warm aroma. Vanilla is native to Central America. It is a perennial herbaceous climbing vine with white flowers. The green capsules or fruit is ready to pick after eight or so months. The pod needs to be cured by drying and fermentation to develop the fragrance and flavor, it takes about six months.The aroma is rich, mellow and long lasting, with sweet and balsamic notes. It has calming and balancing properties. Amber was a warm, resinous fragrance that is rich and earthy.
