 Our Bay Rum soap is a classic. Our Bay rum has notes of Bay, Rum, Citrus and Spice.

Bay rum  is a distillate that was originally made in Saint Thomas and probably other West Indian islands from rum and the leaves and/or berries of the West Indian bay tree, Pimenta racemosa. Other ingredients may be citrus and spice oils, the most common being lime oil, oil of clove and cinnamon. It was first made fashionable in New York and other American cities before it was available in Europe.

 

 

Bay is an evergreen tree native to the Mediterranean. It is an ancient herb used by the Greeks and Romans.  Bay essential oil has a powerful spicy and sweet scent with notes of clove. It has antiseptic properties. Bay has a clarifying and warming action.
